7 EFFECTIVE HICCUPS TREATMENT 

1. HOLDING YOUR BREATH: Take a deep breath, hold it for about 10–20 seconds, then slowly exhale. This increases carbon dioxide levels, which may help stop hiccups.

2. DRINKING COLD WATER: Sipping or gargling cold water can help stimulate the vagus nerve and stop the hiccups.

3. SWALLOWING A SPOONFUL OF SUGAR: Dry sugar may help reset nerve signals in the throat and diaphragm.

4. PULLING YOUR KNEES TO YOUR CHEST: Sitting down and hugging your knees for a few minutes may relax the diaphragm.

5. USING THE VALSALVA MANEUVER: Pinch your nose, close your mouth, and gently try to exhale. This creates pressure in your chest and can help stop hiccups.

6. GENTLY PRESSING ON YOUR DIAPHRAGM: Applying light pressure just below your ribcage may help calm diaphragm spasms.
