PREVENTION OF MALARIA 

1. INSECTICIDE-TREATED BED NETS

Use bed nets treated with insecticides like permethrin or deltamethrin

Reduce mosquito bites by 50-70%

2. INDOOR RESIDUAL SPRAYING 

Spray insecticides like DDT, malathion, or permethrin indoors

Kills mosquitoes that rest on walls and ceilings

3. MOSQUITO REPELLENTS 

Apply repellents like DEET, picaridin, or oil of lemon eucalyptus

Wear protective clothing and socks

4. WEAR PROTECTIVE CLOTHING 

Wear long-sleeved shirts, pants, and socks

5. ELIMINATE BREEDING SITES 

Remove standing water around homes

6. VACCINATION (RTS,S)

Receive RTS,S vaccine for children under 5
