TYPES OF TUBERCULOSIS
1. PULMONARY TB (PTB)
Location: Lungs
Symptoms: Cough, chest pain, difficulty breathing
Transmission: Airborne
2. EXTRAPULMONARY TB (EPTB)
Location: Outside lungs (lymph nodes, bones, qbrain, etc.)
Symptoms: Vary depending on affected area
Transmission: Airborne or direct contact
3. LATENT TB
Location: Infected but no symptoms
Symptoms: None
Transmission: Not contagious
4. MULTIDRUG-RESISTANT TB (MDR-TB)
Location: Lungs or extrapulmonary
Symptoms: Same as pulmonary or extrapulmonary TB
Transmission: Airborne
Resistance: Resistant to at least isoniazid and rifampicin
5. MILIARY TB
Location: Widespread, including lungs, liver, spleen, and bones
Symptoms: Fever, weight loss, fatigue, cough
Transmission: Airborne
Severity: Severe and potentially life-threatening
