WHAT ARE THE RISK FACTORS OF ASTHMA? 

_FAMILY HISTORY: Having a parent or sibling with asthma increases the risk.

_ALLERGENS: Exposure to allergens like dust mites, mold, pet dander, and pollen can trigger asthma.

_AIR POLLUTION: Exposure to air pollutants like particulate matter, nitrogen dioxide, and ozone can exacerbate asthma.

_TOBACCO SMOKE: Exposure to tobacco smoke, either in utero or after birth, increases asthma risk.

_RESPIRATORY INFECTIONS: Respiratory infections like respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) and influenza can increase asthma risk.

_OBESITY: Being overweight or obese can increase asthma risk and severity.

_PREMATURE BIRTH: Babies born prematurely are at increased risk of developing asthma.

_ECZEMA: Having eczema (atopic dermatitis) increases the risk of developing asthma.
