NIDCOM boss congratulates Anthony Joshua
Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Abike Dabiri- Erewa, has congratulated Anthony Joshua, over his victory in a heavyweight bout in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
According to Dabiri-Erewa, the victory has brought more glory to Nigeria and has shown what can be achieved by being resilient.
She congratulated the heavyweight champion, via a statement issued by the Head of Media, Public Relations and Protocol, Abdur- Rahman Balogun, and shared on the X handle of NIDCOM on Saturday, March 9.
It reads in part: "Hon. Abike Dabiri- Erewa, Chairman/ CEO, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) has congratulated Anthony Joshua, a Nigerian born boxer for defeating Francis Ngannou on Friday night in Saudi Arabia.
"The NiDCOM boss gave the commendation in a statement issued by the Head of Media, Public Relations and Protocol, Abdur- Rahman Balogun.
"Dabiri-Erewa said that the victory has brought more glory to Nigeria and has shown what can be achieved by being resilient.
" We are proud of you and urge you to continue to use your professional prowess to extol the virtues of Nigerian heritage."
Joshua defeated his Cameroonian opponent, Francis Ngannou, in a heavyweight bout on Friday night.
