Atiku Mourns Popular Actor, Samanja

Former vice president and presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the last general elections, Atiku Abubakar, has mourned the late retired soldier, broadcaster, and iconic actor, Usman Baba Pategi, also known as Samanja, who passed away at the age of 84.

Atiku reacted to the death on his X handle on Wednesday, November 15, describing Pategi as a man of many parts that brought fun to many homes through his unique brand of comedy.

Atiku expressed condolences to his family, actors, and the entire Kannywood.

He wrote, "Usman Baba Pategi was a man of many parts: soldier, broadcaster, and actor. Samanja, as he was fondly known, brought fun to our homes through his unique brand of comedy.

"He will be sorely missed. On behalf of my family, I express my deepest condolences to his family and fraternity of actors and actresses, especially the Kannywood, of which he was among its pioneers.

"May the Almighty Allah comfort his family, forgive his sins, and grant him eternal rest".
