Australia captain warns Falcons ahead W’Cup clash
Australia captain, Sam Kerr, has warned Group B opponents Nigeria, Canada and Ireland of the threat The Matildas pose when the Women’s World Cup kicks off July 20, The PUNCH reports.
The 29-year-old will be making her fourth appearance at the tournament co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand.
Kerr had an outstanding season for Chelsea last term, scoring 29 goals as the Blues won the league and FA Cup.
She was voted Chelsea Women’s Player of The Season and Players’ Player of The Season, as well as being awarded the Football Writers Association Women’s Footballer of The Year prize for the second consecutive season.
